It is very nice to reopen a work-in-progress that had become dusty on the shelf and find yourself enjoying it like a new read that sweeps you up and carries you away into a world and characters that make you feel like “hell, yes, this is awesome!”
Makes you feel like you might, just might, know what you’re doing here.
It’s also very nice to turn up the iPod and harmonize along to a song that kicks ass and remember that you have options and that there are other things you could be good at doing but you chose what you’re doing for a reason and you’re not trapped, you’re investing and believing.
A nice brick of homemade tiramisu makes this all go down even nicer, but you might be getting a little greedy.

Little moments like these are sustaining. Although I hear that Tiramisu works similarly, in a pinch.
