Amsterdam

I’m back from my trip to Amsterdam, and I’m steeping in the memories and lessons I learned on my second trip to one of my favorite places. My daily interactions, meals, and walks through alleys, along canals, and across the city filled me up with the spark I need to work through the next draft of my book. And my conversation over warm drinks with the insightful Jessica Lipowski and the refreshing Savannah Grace has me excited about our writing–I’m looking forward to reading their works-in-progress, and very appreciative that they took time out from their busy schedules to meet with me and talk ex-pat Dutch life. Between their generosity and the wonder of 8-hour international flight, the world feels like a very small place.

It is–I am so relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. The kids said they wanted to visit again in the middle of the trip, so I’m already working on the itinerary for our (return) return trip.

How about you?
